September meeting
Leicester Movie Makers were our guests and a good number of their members came to entertain us with a fabulous programme of films. This lively event has become a regular feature in our Programme, and next time we will be visiting them with a selection of our members’ AVs.
There’s a lot going on in the wider AV world. Competitions coming up include;
The East Anglia Trophy Competition This is being held on Sunday 5th October at Foxton Village Hall, Hardman Road, Foxton, Cambridgeshire, CB22 6RN starting at 9.45am with a fish and chip supper before the Gala Show in the evening.
In October there is the IPF International AV Competition in Dublin https://irishphoto.ie/42nd-ipf-national-av-championship-and-10th-international-open-av-competition.
The BIG AV event of the year is the International AV Festival https://rps.org/groups/audio-visual/iavf/, a must for anybody with an interest in AV. It is being held online on Zoom on the evenings of 17th/18th/19th November, with a LIVE gala showing of the winners at Worcester University on Saturday 22nd November.

Annual AV Show and Supper in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support organised by Malcolm, Jose’, Dave and Richard Brown with the support of Sutton Coldfield Photography Club. Contact Jose’ for tickets. |

RPS AV Group Summer Challenge This is one of the RPS AV Group’s events but open to anybody, not just members of the RPS or the RPS AV Group. There was a massive response to this initiative, 16 entries, and the online show is on 1st November, 2-4pm. See here for the full Programme of Events:
